I coach kids football. The other day I had a discussion with one of the other coaches regarding heating. I put in extra heating to avoid damage until I conducted a speed session / short sprint intervals. The other coach is fysioterapeaut and believed that children who are not reached puberty did not need heating. The kids who are 9-10 years might as well start asked without heating. It sounds terrific but is it something to hold this? My 9 year old son also enjoys running / jogging, but I find very little information about this online. Seems almost like it's shame on me that the children of 9 years running and not just toys. Does anyone else have experience with children of their own and running? In addition to soccer practice 1 and 1 game a week he runs now a round of 6 km with me 1-2 times a week with some variation. (Not educated guesses included) Unger sprints all the time, mostly without heating. One has to put them on a leash if they do not do it. Right from the couch to beinfly a race around the house, like. They're either completely or relax with full throttle. So unless they are designed completely wrong so there should not be any problems fairview mall with sprints without heating up ... (Digression: In general I think that we adults should also behaved more like children. Forget intervals - raced every chance you get instead? Forget balance muscle training - climb and balance on all stones along the road instead! Fight lot (wrestling) with brothers! Do not sit still for a quite dinner meal without taking a break to get a pair of wheels once in a while If you'll tell something exciting - jumping up and down while doing it! Hink lot! Last one is a rotten fish! Go wheelbarrow in the garden, everything is more fun from the top of a tree Play tag! Pretend you do not have a car and need to ride everywhere! Climb on family members and see if you get right up to the ceiling! Lay out all the pillows on the floor and play "do not step on the floor"! Sure you can play football ever! Oups .... non-educated guesses fairview mall from me follows: The value of heating generally negotiable. It helps clear some of the performance, especially at shorter distances. But when it comes to risk of injury so I have the impression fairview mall that it is connected to heating. Resistance to damage you with training over time and reasonable rest in between, while the damage you get when you overload in a shorter period of time compared to the resistance you have built up in advance. When it comes to it that children prefer not to run, so the argument goes well for children to engage in play and varied activity and be kept away from the competitive elements. I think that before heating speed sessions / short sprint intervals and ball games are important because. the explosive element of the run. I myself have given me hamstring injury several times during a long life as a footballer. And I'm fairview mall fairly convinced that inadequate heating has helped to contribute to this. One learns never occured. However, I can not remember that I had this as a child. The first time was probably in his teens. It may therefore well be that the other coach has a point. But anyway, it might make sense to drill into good habits already in childhood.
funny questions. Unqualified high thinking follows: I think probably the physiotherapist has just purely physiological. But it may be easier to place them in the correct mode for the warming up first, they are more concentrated then as it feels "more important" they should prepare for it first? And as gls says, it may be helpful to learn the good habits. Moreover, they do not run in circles on the pitch for 15 minutes, they can run it as the are similar to drill in athletes with high knee-lift, kick back etc.
